November Awareness Causes
November is the month to recognize:
- Entrepreneurship
- Military Family
- Men’s Health
- Lung Cancer
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- PTA Healthy Lifestyles
Men’s Health
Men’s Health month is prime time for any medical professionals out there to focus on the fellas. Post about the most common issues facing men’s health and provide tips to help them live healthier lives or beckon them in for an appointment!
And of course don’t forget about the ever popular hashtag #movember where men around the country opt to grow ridiculous mustaches for men’s health awareness. Start a poll like this photographer and let your followers choose your latest ‘stache style!
Lung Cancer Awareness
When it comes to awareness causes surrounding terminal diseases, one of the best ways to show your support is to sign your team up for a walk or other fundraising activity. You could even setup a booth at a fundraising event to show your support.
Or film yourself and employees taking place in a challenge associated with the awareness cause. #eggchallenge anyone?
Military Family Month
For Military Family Month, give a shout-out to your employees and their families who were or are currently active in the military. You may consider holding an in-store special for military members as well as a way to say ‘thank you’ for their service.
November Holidays
Extra Mile Day- November 1st
Does your business go the extra mile in some way? Now is the time to talk about it! If you guys are killer at recycling, donate uneaten food at the end of the day to your local soup kitchen or don’t charge extra for the guac, give yourselves a pat on the back!
National Sandwich Day – November 3rd
Sandwiches come in all shapes and sizes and it’s time to celebrate! Today, buy a party sub for the office and post your favorite recipes for your followers to ogle at!
World Kindness Day – November 13th
Ask your followers to spread the love and share an act of kindness they plan on doing today.
This particular Sherwin Williams campaign for World Kindness Day was spot on.
America Recycles Day – November 15th
You may struggle to find a promotion to fit America Recycles Day, but take a tip from California Baby and advertise bulk product purchases in an effort to cut everyone’s carbon footprint.
Post pics of all the ways your office makes an effort to recycle and encourage followers to do the same.
Take a Hike Day – November 17th
This is a perfect day for feel-good quotes and to encourage people to get outside for a stroll in the great outdoors. Ask followers to share their nature photos and favorite spots to take a hike!
Thanksgiving – November 22nd
It’s here! Wish your followers a happy Thanksgiving, ask for favorite recipes and encourage people to share their favorite holiday traditions.
Black Friday – November 23rd
If you’re not running a promotion on Black Friday, you need to! People wait year round for the incredible deals that await them the day after Thanksgiving and you want to be sure you’re in on the fun. Start promotions of your Black Friday deals at the beginning of the month so customers will be ready when the day arrives.
This business created a Facebook event for their Black Friday event allowing people to invite friends and even add it to their calendars.
Small Business Saturday – November 24th
Today, take a break from self-promotion and lift up other small business owners who have given it their all to make their company a success.
Cyber Monday – November 26th
And the sales never end! Prep for Cyber Monday and choose a few promotions to run on this day. If you don’t have a website (something we should talk about, ehemm!) you can still run a Cyber Monday promo using your social media accounts. Run a raffle or offer a special deal to the first ten customers who DM (direct message) you. Or take another break from all the sales mayhem and post a video of what it’s like to be an Amazon employee on Cyber Monday…scary!
Hopefully these November Facebook post examples give you the inspiration you need for your own campaigns!
