Associate, Display Ops

Responsible for revenue generation by supporting Ad Sales teams with the fulfillment of website display, mobile, pre-roll, and retargeting advertising campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to:  campaign planning, ad trafficking, QA, and managing communication throughout the process.  Ads run across properties in the programmatic ecosystem and/or GateHouse owned digital properties.


  • Provide inventory assistance/audience planning during the pre-sale process
  • Traffic and/or QA online advertising campaigns for website display, mobile, pre-roll, and retargeting
  • Create client facing dashboards and respond to questions about online campaigns
  • Help with the creation and maintenance of ad operations documentation
  • Work with more senior team members to troubleshoot campaign errors, and resolve campaign delivery and/or performance issues
  • Learn how online ad serving technologies work
  • Become familiar with the online advertising industry’s terminologies
  • Understand the difference between direct buys and programmatic buys and the advantages/disadvantages of each
  • Maintain turnaround times for all SLAs (service level agreements)
  • Manage screenshot requests
  • Assist with monthly Salesforce case assignments
  • Perform other duties as requested


  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience; marketing, advertising, communications, or computer science emphasis preferred
  • Strong customer service mindset and meticulous attention to detail required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required
  • Some  knowledge of online ad serving technologies (Google DFP), Google Analytics, web browsers, FTP, basic HTML, graphic formats, is a plus
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task; independently organize and establish priorities to execute assigned tasks within committed time frames
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment
  • Interest in developing analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn digital advertising industry and become familiar with best practices
  • 0-2 years of ad operations experience
