Peter Cannone joined ThriveHive as the Chief Executive Officer in November 2015, with more than two decades of leadership and sales experience. Prior to ThriveHive, Pete held senior leadership roles at Springboard Education in America, OnForce, and PC Connection. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for innoCentive, iTeam, and RealMatch.
Pete’s wide range of skills, proven track record for innovation, and outstanding leadership have earned him several awards over the span of his career, including spots in the Top 25 Most Innovative IT Executives, Top 100 Staffing Influencers, and Top 100 Global Company lists. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Bill Scanlon joined ThriveHive in 2014 as the Chief Financial Officer. Bill’s strong focus on measuring the items that really drive business, and in turn providing actionable reporting, help ensure that ThriveHive meets its goals and can better serve its customers.
His past experience include both VP of Production and Distribution and VP of Strategic Products at GateHouse Media (ThriveHive’s parent company) as well as Director of Finance for Enterprise News Media. Bill earned his FCCA from Cork Institute of Technology.
Susan Fazelpoor, Chief Operating Officer, brings over 25 years of leadership experience to ThriveHive. Joining the team in January, 2017, Susan’s experiences as President of Sales Support and Marketing at Connection (formerly PC Connection), Executive Operating Consultant at eCost, Senior Vice-President of Customer Care at MicroWarehouse
and Vice-President of Sales Operations at Barnes & Noble, help her to leverage and manage the day-to-day leadership of the company, while bolstering the continued growth and operating efficiency here at ThriveHive.
As the SVP/ GM of ThriveHive Direct National Sales, Greg oversees the Field Sales, Telesales, and Account Management teams. With over 12 years in digital sales, Greg’s leadership and emphasis on delivering results for our customers have helped significantly grow our sales year over year. Greg is one of four founding members who helped launch ThriveHive in 2011 and has since seen the company grow to over 300 employees today.
Greg has always gravitated toward digital marketing sales, and his past experiences include work at digital agencies. Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bentley University.
Max is the Chief Technology Officer of ThriveHive, where he leads product and engineering. He joined the company in March 2016 through the acquisition of Thrivehive, where he was cofounder and CEO. Max is a former small business owner who has worked as a product manager intern for the Kindle team at Amazon and has held engineering roles in industrial automation and artificial intelligence research.
Max is passionate about empowering others through data-driven marketing technology and he’s a big believer in “creating more value than you capture” as the way to have impact and to build a lasting enterprise. Max holds a BSEE from the University of Costa Rica and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Adam Blake, is Senior Vice President of ThriveHive, and General Manager of its marketing automation platform, the first guided marketing platform for small businesses. Adam also currently serves as a Professional Advisor at the MIT Entrepreneurship Center where he advises early stage startups on marketing, sales, financing, technology, and general business issues. Prior to joining ThriveHive, Adam founded a consumer electronics business, Pear Cable, which he bootstrapped into a profitable company selling products around the world.
Before Pear Cable, Adam served as the Director of Fuel Cell Technology Development at CellTech Power, a developer of novel fuel cells. Adam holds three patents (with one pending), received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Christine Walker joined ThriveHive in January 2016 as Director of Human Resources. In partnership with the executive team, Christine provides insights and solutions that enable ThriveHive to deliver the best business results possible. Her past experiences at Propel Business Services, Kronos, IBM, and Progress Software make her a valuable asset to the company.
Christine helps her team oversee employee relations, legal compliance, total compensation strategies, performance management, talent management, and employee and leadership development. Christine graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Business Administration.
With over 20 years in the advertising and marketing field, Sean McDonnell, SVP and GM of Propel Business Services Channel Sales, facilitates sales, growth, and development at ThriveHive. Sean’s emphasis on driving results and focus on delivering the best results for customers make Sean an invaluable asset at ThriveHive.
Sean’s past experiences include working as Chief Revenue Officer of Wicked Local, Executive Director of Sales at Boston.com, and Divisional Sales Manager at Boston Globe. Sean’s hard work and industry expertise have earned him The New York Times World Class Sales Award four times in a row. Sean graduated Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stonehill College with a BA in Political Science/Irish Studies.
As the Vice President of Product, Kate leads our product team that manages our service offerings including Search (SEO and SEM), Social Advertising and Management, Display Advertising, and our Video and Email channels. Kate is responsible for setting a company-level vision and strategy for the products and services we offer to our customers and ensures that that vision remains preserved through how we sell, fulfill, and engage with our customers. Kate is an original co-founder of ThriveHive and has since seen the company grow to over 300 employees.
Prior to ThriveHive, Kate was managing emerging platforms for GateHouse Media’s New England group, managing product and strategy for Boston.com and The Boston Globe, and held various digital roles at Burlington (Vt.) Free Press. Kate attended Saint Michael’s College and received her B.A. in Journalism with a Concentration in New Media.
Scott Noll is VP of Sales of ThriveHive, and leads all sales functions for the team’s interactions with small business owners and is responsible for transforming local marketing automation services. Most recently, Scott was the Chief Operating Officer of Sage Data Security and co-founded Knob Hill Partners, a private investment firm.
Scott has also worked as an Operating Partner at T2 Media Ventures and a Sales Director at Thomson Reuters. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College and an MBA from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
As the VP of SaaS Products, Nic is responsible for driving the vision of our marketing automation platform, the first guided marketing platform for small businesses. With an emphasis on driving results for SMBs, Nic works hard to build and refine the best guided marketing tools available on the market.
Nic’s past experiences include working at a web analytics startup and working in Product Development at Staples. Nic has a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Stuart Hughes joined ThriveHive in February 2017 as Vice President of Finance. He adds experience to the team’s dynamic support of the ThriveHive business, bringing particular expertise in financial services, international business, and tax and accounting. With rapid expansion in the ThriveHive business and integration of ThriveHive’s 2016 acquisitions, there is a demand for management information that can drive business decisions as well as more formalized internal controls, policies and procedures. Stuart brings experience from senior roles at large quoted US companies.
He was most recently the International Controller of Moody’s, where he oversaw international financial reporting, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across Asia and Europe. Prior to Moody’s, Stuart served as European Controller at JP Morgan and was a VP of Finance at Bank of America. He is both a qualified accountant and tax advisor and graduated from Lancaster University in England with a BA in History. In recent years, he has been a significant fundraiser for a poverty relief charity and is a passionate supporter of global multicultural awareness.
As VP of Field Sales West, Mike Flanagan is responsible for a team of sales representatives at ThriveHive throughout the West Coast. Mike started as an account executive at the Denver Post in Colorado, where he quickly moved through the ranks into management due to his ability to create a positive culture and hit sales targets. Mike was the first employee of AdTaxi Networks owned by Digital First Media and was recognized at the INMA awards in 2010 as an innovator for brand marketing in the automotive industry.
Mike attended Johnson and Wales University with a degree in Sports Entertainment and Event Management. During his time at JWU, Mike played for the basketball team in the NAIA conference where he was the captain for three years.
